1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Somnific and TalkLift (collectively, "the Apps", "we", "us", or "our") collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile applications. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Information you provide: Text prompts, preferences, and settings you enter within the Apps (e.g., story descriptions in Somnific or practice scenarios in TalkLift).
  • Usage data: Anonymized data about how you interact with the Apps, such as features used and session duration.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and language settings, collected automatically to ensure compatibility.
  • Advertising identifiers: For TalkLift's optional ad-supported experience, a resettable advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID) may be used to serve relevant ads.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us for support.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Apps' features and functionality.
  • To personalize your in-app experience (e.g., remembering voice or style preferences).
  • To diagnose technical issues and ensure the Apps function correctly.
  • To display advertisements in TalkLift (optional, ad-supported tier only).

4. AI Processing

Both Apps use AI to generate content (stories or conversation responses) based on your input. Text prompts you submit are processed by our AI infrastructure to produce the requested output. We do not store your prompts for training purposes beyond the current session unless explicitly stated in a future update to this policy.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

  • AI service providers: To generate story or conversation content on your behalf, subject to their own privacy policies.
  • Analytics providers: To understand aggregate usage patterns using anonymized data only.
  • Advertising networks (TalkLift only): To display ads when you use the free, ad-supported version. You may opt out via your device's advertising settings at any time.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain usage and analytics data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

7. Children's Privacy

The Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Technical Support

Having trouble with Somnific or TalkLift? We're here to help. Please follow the steps below before reaching out — most issues can be resolved quickly.

  1. 1 Restart the app. Close the app completely and reopen it. This resolves the majority of temporary glitches.
  2. 2 Check your internet connection. Both Apps require an active internet connection to generate AI content.
  3. 3 Update the app. Make sure you are running the latest version available in the Google Play Store.
  4. 4 Clear the app cache. Go to your device Settings → Apps → Somnific or TalkLift → Storage → Clear Cache, then relaunch the app.
  5. 5 Still not working? Send us an email with your device model, OS version, app version, and a brief description of the issue.
